Study in Ireland

English-speaking, in the EU

Ireland is the obvious choice if you want an English-taught degree inside the European Union. Dublin hosts the European headquarters of a large share of the world's technology and pharmaceutical companies, which shapes what is taught and who is hiring.

Why Ireland

English-taught, inside the EU

You study in English while holding an EU-based qualification, which few countries can offer at once.

Where the employers already are

Technology, pharmaceutical and financial services companies run major European operations from Ireland, so graduate recruitment happens locally.

One-year master's

Most taught master's programmes run for twelve months, keeping total cost down.

Courses and intakes

Honours bachelor's degrees, taught master's, research master's and PhD.

September is the main intake. January is available for a smaller set of postgraduate courses.

What you will need

  • Passport
  • Academic transcripts
  • Degree certificate
  • English test score
  • Statement of purpose
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Resume / CV
  • Financial statement

This is the same checklist we track for you inside our system, so nothing is remembered twice.

Irish study visa (Stamp 2)

  • Applications are made online through AVATS, and the printed summary forms part of your submission.
  • You must show evidence of funds for your first year of living costs.
  • Private medical insurance is required, and is checked at application rather than on arrival.
  • Proof that tuition fees have been paid is normally expected before the visa is issued.

Requirements and entitlements are set by each country's government and change from time to time. We confirm the current position for your intake before you apply.
